Background
Golnaz comes with a broad background spanning research, company building and investment with both family offices and corporate venture capitals. From 2019 to 2025, Golnaz led PwC Germany’s Corporate Venture Capital investments, enabling more than 25 strategic and financial deals. Her work spanned direct startup investments, LP commitments in VC funds and startup partnerships. From 2015 to 2019, Golnaz was an Associate Partner at Ventac Partners, a venture builder in the Nordics, where she co-built biotech and medtech companies from scratch to phase II clinical trials. She is also an LP investor and advisor to GEX Ventures, a family office fund-of-funds through which she has access to a broad US network. Golnaz holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology and a Postdoc in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, a BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering and an Executive MBA from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Golnaz also lectures on the topic of Venture Capital to MBA and Finance students at Cambridge Judge Business School. She is an angel investor, a two-time Global Corporate Venturing “Emerging Leader” award winner (2023 & 2024), a jury member and mentor at leading European accelerators, and a frequent speaker and panelist on venture and innovation topics. Having lived in Germany, Denmark, the UK, and the Middle East, Golnaz brings a global and culturally diverse perspective to venture capital and entrepreneurship.
